Privacy Policy

Effective October 9, 2026

Ghost Indexx is a service by its parent company, Droplinx LLC. Steve Leon remains the service operator and privacy contact.

This Privacy Policy explains how Steve Leon, the operator of Ghost Indexx (“Ghost Indexx,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Ghost Indexx website and services.

1. Scope and contact

This policy applies to Ghost Indexx accounts, company pages, reports, company submissions, moderation, legal requests, and related services. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to Steven_leon@live.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we receive your email address, authentication information, account creation date, age confirmation, acceptance of our terms, and information needed to maintain your session. If you use a third-party sign-in provider, we receive the account information that provider makes available for authentication.

Reports and evidence

When you file a report, we collect the company, recruiting stage, outcome, reason categories, month of last contact, optional note, your attestations, and an evidence screenshot. We associate the report with your account so we can enforce submission limits, prevent duplicate reporting, moderate content, and investigate abuse.

You may optionally provide a recruiter email address or LinkedIn profile URL as private supporting information. We normalize that value and immediately convert it into a keyed, one-way fingerprint. We do not retain the raw identifier in the report and do not publish, score, rate, rank, list, or return a signal about the individual. The fingerprint is used only for report integrity, abuse review, and moderation.

Company submissions

If you suggest a company, we collect the company name, website domain or company LinkedIn page, industry, employer type, your confirmation that the entry is a company rather than a person, and the review history associated with the submission.

Legal and support requests

If you submit a takedown request, we collect the listing URL, your name and email address, your relationship to the listing, your explanation and legal basis, supporting links you choose to provide, and your good-faith confirmation. These details are not published.

Usage, security, and device information

We and our service providers may automatically receive information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, timestamps, authentication events, errors, and security or rate-limit events. We also maintain moderation decisions, audit records, and anti-abuse signals. A report draft may be saved in your browser so you can continue it on the same device.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and provide requested features;
  • receive, verify, moderate, and investigate reports and company submissions;
  • calculate aggregate company-level Ghost Scores and response statistics after minimum reporting thresholds are met;
  • prevent duplicate evidence, coordinated reporting, fraud, harassment, scraping, and other misuse;
  • respond to support, privacy, dispute, and legal takedown requests;
  • maintain audit records, troubleshoot errors, enforce our Terms, and protect users and the service; and
  • comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

4. What appears publicly

Public company pages may show the company’s name, industry, employer type, and aggregate statistics derived from moderated reports. A score appears only after the applicable minimum number of verified reports and distinct reporters is reached. Public results describe reported company response patterns; they do not establish wrongdoing or predict any person’s future experience.

We do not publicly show reporter identities, account email addresses, evidence screenshots, raw notes pending moderation, takedown contact information, or recruiter names, contact details, profile links, fingerprints, scores, ratings, rankings, or warning signals.

5. When we disclose information

We may disclose information to vendors that provide hosting, authentication, storage, security, analytics, error monitoring, and other infrastructure, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service; investigate abuse; or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets with suitable protections.

We do not sell personal information or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Retention

Before upload, you cover personal details in your browser, and the image is re-created without hidden photo data (such as camera, location, or time). Your original image never leaves your device. The redacted file first goes to a private holding area. There, automated text reading and face detection blur any remaining emails, phone numbers, links, personal names, faces, header areas and signature blocks. The file in the holding area is deleted right after processing, and only the blurred copy is kept. Evidence screenshots are private and available only to authorized reviewers. They are deleted as soon as a report is verified, and otherwise 14 days after a report is reviewed. We retain account information while an account is active and as reasonably needed afterward for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement.

Reports, company submissions, moderation decisions, one-way integrity fingerprints, audit records, and legal requests may be retained for as long as needed to operate and protect the service, preserve the reliability of company aggregates, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. When an account is deleted, associated reports may be anonymized and detached where lawful rather than removed from aggregate company statistics. Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups until they are overwritten through normal processes.

7. Text message alerts

Ghost Indexx sends automated text message alerts about moderation activity to the operator's own verified mobile number. These messages are service notifications, not marketing: they are sent only to the account owner, who opted in when configuring the service. Recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by emailing Steven_leon@live.com. Message and data rates may apply.

8. Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to obtain a portable copy, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a denied request. Email Steven_leon@live.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required or permitted by law, including for security, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, and legal claims.

You may also submit a takedown request if you believe a listing violates the law. Submitting a request does not automatically remove a listing.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including restricted evidence access, one-way fingerprints for recruiter identifiers, account-based controls, rate limits, and moderation logs. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur.

10. International use

Ghost Indexx is operated from the United States. If you use the service from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other locations where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws.

11. Adults only

Ghost Indexx is intended only for people age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service, law, or our practices change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law. Your continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy.
