Terms of Service

Ghost Indexx is a service by its parent company, Droplinx LLC. The service is branded “Ghost Indexx by Droplinx LLC”; Steve Leon remains the operator and contact under these Terms.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Steve Leon, the operator of Ghost Indexx (“Ghost Indexx,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using Ghost Indexx, creating an account, or submitting content, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Community Rules.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security.

You may not create accounts through automation, impersonate another person or organization, evade a restriction, sell or transfer an account, or use another person’s account without permission.

2. What Ghost Indexx provides

Ghost Indexx collects first-hand candidate reports, subjects them to moderation, and presents aggregate company-level information about recruiting response patterns. A Ghost Score is a statistical summary of eligible reports, not a factual finding that a company acted unlawfully or improperly. Scores may change as reports are added, removed, aged, or re-reviewed.

Ghost Indexx scores and evaluates companies only. We do not score, rate, rank, list, profile, or publish claims or warning signals about individual recruiters. An optional recruiter identifier supplied with a report is private supporting information used only for integrity, abuse review, and moderation.

3. Reporting rules

You may report only your own genuine recruiting experience. Each submission must be truthful, accurate to the best of your knowledge, and supported by authentic evidence you are authorized to provide. You must distinguish what happened from assumptions about motive or character.

You may not:

• submit fabricated, altered, misleading, duplicate, retaliatory, paid, or coordinated reports;
• report an experience belonging to another person or misrepresent your relationship to a company;
• include a person’s name, email address, phone number, profile link, or other identifying information in a public-facing note;
• upload evidence you obtained unlawfully or lack authority to share;
• threaten, harass, defame, dox, discriminate against, or target any person;
• manipulate scores, submission limits, moderation, or security controls; or
• use the service to make automated, high-volume, or discriminatory employment decisions.

Submission limits, account-age requirements, evidence requirements, and minimum publication thresholds may apply. Passing a threshold does not remove our right to review, withhold, correct, or remove content.

4. Your content and license

You retain any ownership rights you have in content you submit. You grant Ghost Indexx a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, redact, moderate, analyze, aggregate, display, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and promote the service and to create company-level statistics. This license lasts while the content is used by the service and continues for anonymized or aggregated information that no longer identifies you.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content and grant this license, and that your submission and our permitted use will not violate another person’s rights or applicable law.

5. Moderation and enforcement

We may review evidence, redact or reject notes, request more information, delay publication, adjust eligibility, remove reports from calculations, correct company records, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, and preserve relevant records. Moderation decisions may consider authenticity, relevance, duplication, privacy, safety, legal risk, and compliance with these Terms.

We do not promise to publish any submission or to take a particular action. We may reverse a decision when new information becomes available. Attempts to evade enforcement may result in additional restrictions.

6. Company listings, disputes, and takedowns

Users may suggest company listings, but submission does not guarantee approval. Company details must identify an organization rather than an individual and must use accurate public information. We may merge duplicates, correct details, reject submissions, or remove listings.

A company or affected person may dispute information or submit a legal takedown request. Requests should identify the listing, explain the issue, and provide a good-faith factual or legal basis. A request does not automatically remove content. We may seek verification or additional information and may preserve records when reasonably necessary.

7. Privacy and confidential features

Your use of Ghost Indexx is subject to our Privacy Policy. You may not attempt to identify reporters, reveal private evidence, reconstruct a recruiter identifier from a one-way fingerprint, probe the service for information about an individual, bypass access controls, or use outputs to harass or retaliate against anyone.

8. Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, scrape or copy substantial portions of it, reverse engineer protected systems, test vulnerabilities without written permission, overload infrastructure, use bots to access or submit information, infringe intellectual property, violate privacy or employment law, or help another person do any of these things.

9. Ghost Indexx intellectual property

The service, brand, logo, software, design, score presentation, and original content are owned by Steve Leon or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. If you send feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or compensation.

10. Third-party services and links

Ghost Indexx may rely on or link to third-party services. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or practices. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by separate terms.

11. Service changes and availability

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Ghost Indexx. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, preservation of every feature, or compatibility with every device. We may impose or change reasonable limits to protect users and the service.

12. Informational service; no professional advice

Ghost Indexx is for general informational purposes. It is not an employment background check, consumer report, recommendation, guarantee, or substitute for independent judgment. It does not provide legal, employment, financial, or other professional advice. Do not use Ghost Indexx as the sole basis for an employment, contracting, legal, or reputational decision.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ghost Indexx is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that every report is complete or accurate, that moderation will detect every problem, or that a company score will predict a future experience.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steve Leon and Ghost Indexx will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, data, goodwill, or reputation, arising from or related to the service. Our total liability for all claims arising from or related to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Ghost Indexx during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Steve Leon and Ghost Indexx from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your submitted content, your misuse of the service, or your material violation of these Terms or another person’s rights. We may control the defense of a covered claim, and you agree to cooperate reasonably.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, or threatened users or the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive— including licenses for anonymized aggregates, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute terms, and enforcement rights—will survive termination.

17. Governing law and courts

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or Ghost Indexx must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, New York, and each party consents to personal jurisdiction and venue there. These Terms do not require private arbitration and do not waive any right to participate in a class action where such a right applies.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, law, or risk. We will post revised Terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. If you do not agree to an update, you must stop using the service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

19. General terms

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Rules are the entire agreement about the service. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or transfer of the service. Headings are for convenience only.
