Recruiting should end with an answer.
We are putting every employer's answer — or silence — on the public record, one verified report at a time.
Nobody should have to wonder whether they were good enough.
Most people who are ghosted never learn anything about the employer they waited for. Ghost Index turns those individual, unverifiable experiences into something a candidate can actually read before applying.
What we stand for
Six commitments that decide what gets built, what gets published, and what we refuse to do.
- 01
An answer is basic respect
Silence has become the default in hiring. We think a candidate who takes time to apply, interview, and follow up deserves to be told where they stand. Ghost Index exists to make that the norm instead of the exception.
- 02
Employers are accountable, not individuals
Only companies receive a score. We never rate, rank, or name a recruiter, hiring manager, or interviewer. Anything you tell us about a person becomes a private one-way fingerprint used only to catch duplicate and abusive reports — it is never published and never turned into a rating of anyone.
- 03
Verified or invisible
Nothing counts toward a score until it has been checked. Every report passes automated screening and then a human reviewer. A claim on its own never becomes public data, and a company's page can exist for a long time before it earns a number.
- 04
Privacy is the design, not a promise
You redact your own screenshot in your browser before it is uploaded, and it is rebuilt without hidden photo data. Any details we spot are blurred automatically. Evidence is deleted on a clock, and public pages never show who filed what.
- 05
Credit where it is due
This is not a blacklist. Report the companies that closed the loop, sent the update, and gave you a straight answer — they are the reason the index is worth reading.
- 06
Open method, nothing for sale
Scores come from a published formula applied to verified reports: later hiring stages weigh more, recent experiences weigh more, and a company needs reports from several different people before it gets a number. Companies cannot buy a better score, and they can dispute anything they believe is wrong.
What we will not do
The index is only useful if people can trust it. These lines are not negotiable.
- Publishing a report that has not been verified.
- Naming, rating, or ranking an individual recruiter or interviewer.
- Selling placements, scores, or the removal of a listing.
- Showing a score built from one person's story.
- Keeping evidence longer than the review needs it.
Where the mission shows up
Not a values poster — these are the parts of the site you can click.
Every report is checked
Automated screening for duplicates, personal details, and mismatched evidence — then a human decides whether it counts.
How review worksIdentities stay private
Reporter accounts, emails, notes, and screenshots are never public.
Read the privacy policyCompanies can push back
Every listing carries a Dispute option, and a takedown request is reviewed by a person.
Make a requestThe index is only as good as its reports
Every number on this site came from one person deciding to write down what happened to them. If an employer left you waiting, that belongs here.
